It has indeed been an eventful month. Things started rosy at the beginning of the month when I was grinding my usual 1 table SnG and after a week or so, I couldn't really get things going. Imagine running KK into AA three times and AK getting busted by A4. I couldnt have elaborated more on the bad beats I received but this is part and parcel of the game.
I then started exploring another variant of the game: - Heads Up Hyper Turbo SnG midway through the month. I managed to grind my way back up again albeit some very swingy moments as you may understand that the variance is higher and I must admit I played some lousy hands which as I was tilting when I started receiving bad beats.
However, this variant of the game is good to train me from being more patient as in not tilting so easily and as long as I stick to my game plan and play solid aggressive poker, I would be able to grind out a healthy profit which I managed to at the end of the month. Nevertheless, there will be more suckouts than usual...whereby I will at times suckout at my opponent and vice versa.
I am happy with my results thus far....I am almost achieving my target and will be moving up in terms of stakes hopefully in the coming month (August 2011). Let's see... =)
